Authenticity
All Nambu ironware sold on this site is authentic and manufactured in Japan.
Each item is accompanied by an official certificate of authenticity issued in Japan.
While imitation products have appeared in recent years, we carefully verify the workshop, production process, and provenance before offering any item.
Rather than asserting authenticity loudly, we believe in creating conditions where authenticity is naturally evident.
Made-to-Order Production
Many items are produced on a made-to-order basis because Nambu ironware is still crafted by hand.
Each step involves the artisan’s judgment, and production is not based on mass replication.
Delivery may take time, but this reflects a commitment to quality over efficiency. We appreciate your understanding.
Use and Care
A reddish tone inside the ironware does not indicate failure if the water remains clear.
With continued use, a natural layer forms inside, stabilizing the vessel over time.
We do not recommend scrubbing the interior or using detergents.
Nambu ironware is a tool that matures gradually through careful use.
Difference Between Kettles and Teapots
Iron kettles are designed for boiling water and have no interior coating, making them suitable for direct heat or IH use.
Teapots are intended for brewing tea and have protective interior finishes. Please choose according to your intended use.
